If you’re a fan of Bangtan Boys, you might have heard that its book lover member Namjoon (or more popularly known as RM) have recommended several of his favorite books. If you subscribe to Netflix, you might have noticed the growing selection of South Korean films and dramas (have you heard of Squid Game?). For people who are interested in knowing more about South Korean drama, films, language or culture, or simply are into books, here are several books about life in the country written by South Korean authors. Please read on, if you’d like.

- Human Acts, by Han Kang
- Almond, by Won-pyung Sohn: a BTS fan favorite! BTS members RM, Suga and J-Hope were seen reading this book in their reality show In the Soop.
- The Vegetarian, by Han Kang
- The Kingdom of the Gods, by In-wan Youn: a graphic novel for fans of Kingdom, the hit Netflix drama.
