Books For BTS/KPop/KDrama Fans, Or Simply Book Lovers

If you’re a fan of Bangtan Boys, you might have heard that its book lover member Namjoon (or more popularly known as RM) have recommended several of his favorite books. If you subscribe to Netflix, you might have noticed the growing selection of South Korean films and dramas (have you heard of Squid Game?). For people who are interested in knowing more about South Korean drama, films, language or culture, or simply are into books, here are several books about life in the country written by South Korean authors. - Human Acts, by Han Kang
- Almond, by Won-pyung Sohn: a BTS fan favorite! BTS members RM, Suga and J-Hope were seen reading this book in their reality show In the Soop.
- The Vegetarian, by Han Kang
- The Kingdom of the Gods, by In-wan Youn: a graphic novel for fans of Kingdom, the hit Netflix drama.
- I Decided to Live As Me, by Kim Soo-Hyun: The English version of the book that BTS member Jungkook was reading in Bon Voyage season 3! Jay B from Got 7 also posted this book on his Instagram stories.
- Pachinko, by Min Jin Lee
- Love is … 1: Love is in small things, by Puuung: a graphic novel about love.
- Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982, by Cho Nam-joo: an international bestseller and cultural phenomenon made into a movie starring Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi

- Emergency Contact, by Mary HK Choi
- Shine, by Jessica Jung: a K-pop legend and former lead singer of one of the most influential K-pop girl groups of all time, Girls’ Generation.
